Linear Shafts
Linear shafts are generally ground to high accuracy in roundness, straightness,
surface finishings and are annealed, quenched and tempered (heat treated)
to assure a uniform hardened layer in both the radial and axial direction
to minimise wear and frictional resistance.
Linear shafts are produced in different materials including high-carbon
chromium bearing steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The shafts
are available in a broad range of radial sizes & shaft lengths
and can be custom configured including pre-drilled and tapped holes,
precision end machining, retaining ring grooves, bearing journals
etc to meet specific requirements for any given application.
